Two of the most difficult parts pricing a home right are being certain of the size, and being confident of the price that will get it sold quickly, and at the best price for your clients. Although many agents obtain the size of a home from a previous listing in the MLS, or from the appraisal district (tax) records, neither of these sources may be accurate.
Reduce or avoid contract problems over the size of your listing by engaging use for Real Estate Measuring via a Pre-Listing Measure to give you the actual square footage before you list the home for sale. If you don’t know the actual size of the home, how can you be confident of the market value?
Order a Pre-Listing Measure
You’ll receive a sketch of the home, including interior and exterior measurements within 1 to 2 days, and usually within 1. This sketch can also be used for marketing the home – we’ll provide you with a .jpg or .pdf that you can include in your fliers or postcards and can post on the MLS. You can deduct the $125 fee as a business expense, or ask your client to pay. They may also find this useful for correcting their property records with the taxing district(s).

Even if you have years of experience as a REALTOR®, some properties are just plain difficult to price right. You don’t want to disappoint your clients by being off-the-mark for the more challenging listings.
